... out loud for the first time on Sunday!! He laughed while playing peek-a-boo with Mommy! He was 12 weeks and 1 day old.

Funny Little Story

We had a little get-together on Saturday to celebrate Quinn's birthday. Andrew, Amber, Claire, and Chloe came over for it and we had tons of fun. Amber and the girls stayed and played while Andrew and Travis went fishing. All together I would guess they were probably here for around five hours (correct me if I'm wrong, Amber). Quinn played, talked, ran around, screamed, laughed, and ate with them all day long. When they left Quinn hugged them all goodbye. As soon as they were outside and the door closed Quinn turned around and looked at Travis and me. He said, "Who's that?"

Back When Quinn was One

I asked Quinn what he wanted to do today and -no surprise- he said he wanted to play at the mall. So, we got ready and went to the mall! I brought my camera along and experimented with some of the basic settings. We both had a lot of fun! It was a fun thing to do for Quinn's last day of being one. I just can't believe how fast time has gone by! We have a big day planned for tomorrow (well, big for him!) so I will surely post more pictures soon (and I will break out the camera when Miles is awake and get some pics of him, too!).

My camera arrived yesterday evening!! I have been waiting for it to get here for over two weeks, and here it is... but it arrived without the memory (and they forgot to send a lens that was supposed to come with it, too) so all I can do with it is take pictures that show up for only a moment afterward, before they dissapear. But oh well, I am still WAY EXCITED! They are sending out the forgotten items, so it shouldn't be too long before I am getting a lot of practice with it!

THANK YOU, TRAVIS SHANE! This is a fantastic (early) birthday present! I couldn't have done better if I picked it out myself (ha, ha; I did)! I LOVE YOU, BABY!

I Just Wanted to Make Sure...

After two and a half mostly fantastic years of marriage, I finally made the big plunge... I changed my last name!

Have you ever been to the 'every-other-week Social Security office' here in Logan? It is an absolute MADHOUSE, so I never stuck it out to get my name changed. On Friday Travis and I loaded up the boys and drove to Ogden. It took only about ten minutes and now it is done!

The lady who did it for us commented on how I "rushed right in to get it taken care of" so I must be excited. I joked that I just wanted to make sure everything was going to work out between us before I did something as serious as changing my name (make funnier by the armloads of kids and diaper bag and strollers we were toting with us)!

I really didn't think it would make that big of difference to me, but I have to say it feels REALLY good to have the same last name as my awesome family... officially!
