THE MEN I LOVE

I just thought I would take a few minutes to write about the sweet and amazing guys in my life! I am so lucky to be surrounded by people that love me so much and who treat me so well!

TRAVIS:
Okay, so we used to have an elaborate story about how we met, but it was a bunch of baloney! We have been together and good-for-each-other for long enough that it's okay now if people know that we met at the bar! We recognized one another from working at the same place (Icon), but we actually talked for the first time and traded phone numbers at the White Owl. I left town just a couple weeks after we started dating and I was gone for a month and a half. We wrote back and forth almost every single day! I think it was through the letters that we actually fell in love! I am as crazy about him as I was in the beginning, and even more amazed by him each day! He is the most amazing daddy and I could not ask for a more loving and understanding husband! He is the most talented and humble person I know, and I feel so lucky that I have him to share my life with!

DALTON:
A while after Travis and I started dating it was time for me to meet his son, Dalton. I was definately nervous, but Dalton is such a sweet boy that I had no trouble hitting it off with him right away! He had turned four about a month before I met him and now he is SEVEN! It has been so much fun for me to watch him grow up! He has gone from trying his best to remember all of the letters for alphabet song to reading books and sounding out tricky words! He is a super big brother for Quinn, even when Quinn won't leave him alone for even a second!

QUINN:
What can I say about my little guy?? He blows me away every single day with the things he says and does! It is hard for me to remember life without him! He is the most musical baby I have ever seen! He sings and dances, plays the guitar, and claps like crazy when his daddy plays songs for him! He is so smart, and it is so amazing to watch him learn and figure things out every day! He LOVES rocks and has a special one that sits outside of our door. Whenever we go outside he picks it up, pets it, and says, "Hi, rock!" He is super-free with hugs and kisses and there is nothing in the world that can make me feel better that his hugs and kisses! We have been trying to tell him that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy, but there is really no way to explain it to an 18-month-old! He'll see!

MILES:
So, this is the new baby! We are going to name him Miles, unless something really unexpected happens! The middle name is still under consideration, but we have it narrowed down... He is due to be born on New Years Eve. People keep asking me things like "wouldn't it be great to have the New Years Baby?" Well, it wouldn't be a bad thing, but I sure wouldn't mind having a 2008 tax-deduction! Either way, I am super excited for this little guy to join us out here! Sometimes he gets a really good jab in and it scares me and makes me jump! I love when that happens, it makes me smile!

I am super lucky to have these guys to love... but I still can't wait until I am not the only girl in the house (okay, so I can wait a few years)!!

AN AWESOME COUPLE YEARS

Our Honeymoon!

The monkey man didn't look this happy before Travis got there!
Wow...umm, just so you know there was a pile of stuffed monkeys behing this fella, so if you think you see 'sasquatch junk' you are (sick and) wrong!

Our Family (April 2007)

So, yesterday was our second wedding anniversary. It is crazy how time works; it seems like I was walking down the aisle just yesterday, and yet at the same time I can hardly even remember life before Travis!! It has been an AMAZING two years and I must say that I married well!

We had big plans to go back to Jackson Hole on Monday and Tuesday for our anniversary (that is where we went on our Honeymoon and we went back for our 1st anniversary as well), but our plans fell through at the last minute. When we were gathering things together for our getaway -the night before we were going to leave- I suddenly was floored with pain and instead spent the night in the hospital... with a kidney stone. Wow, those things HURT!! But our anniversary was far from ruined! Just having a few days off of work to spend with my wonderful husband and awesome little boy has been incredible... it will be hard to go back to work tomorrow!!
